What is a prop firm?

A proprietary trading firm (prop firm) provides capital to traders, allowing them to trade larger positions than they could with their own funds. In return, the firm takes a share of the profits. The5ers offers a unique model where you can keep up to 100% of your profits.

Am I responsible for losses?

What are the drawdown rules?

Our rules are designed to promote responsible trading. We typically have a maximum daily loss limit and a maximum overall drawdown limit, which are clearly stated for each program. For example, a common rule set is a 5% max daily drawdown and a 10% max overall drawdown.

How often can I get paid?

You can request a payout as soon as you are in profit. Payouts are processed quickly, typically within 1-3 business days. There is no minimum or maximum amount for payouts.

Can I use Expert Advisors (EAs) or bots?

Yes, we allow the use of EAs and bots. However, we have specific rules against certain strategies like high-frequency trading, arbitrage, or using third-party copy trading services. We encourage you to use EAs that reflect your own unique strategy.

Is the one-time fee refundable?

We allow most trading styles, including scalping, swing trading, and news trading. The only major restrictions are on strategies that exploit demo environments or are not viable in live market conditions.

How does the scaling plan work?

Our scaling plan is simple: when you reach a profit target of 10% on your funded account, we will double your account size. This can continue all the way up to $4 million.

What countries do you accept traders from?

We accept traders from almost every country worldwide. There are only a few exceptions due to international regulations.

What payment methods do you accept for the fee?

How long does the evaluation take?

There are no time limits. You can take as long as you need to reach the profit target, as long as you don't violate the drawdown rules. This allows you to trade patiently and wait for high-quality setups.

Can I hold trades over the weekend?

Yes, you are allowed to hold trades over the weekend and during news events on all our funded accounts.

What if I fail the evaluation?

If you fail the evaluation but have not violated any rules and are in profit, we offer a free retry. If you violate a rule, you can always start a new evaluation at any time, often with a discount.
